On December 28 2023, the Association’s chair, Maj Lapierre, presented Mr Craig Fairfull with a cheque and certificate. Recipient of the 2023 Mother Goose Memorial Scholarship, Craig studies at Mount Royal University in the Aviation department and maintains a 3.9 GPA. He is the son of Cpl (Ret’d) Gary Fairfull who served at 408 Sqn in the 1990s and early 2000s as an Electric Instrument Tech and AVS Tech.
Children and grandchildren of current or past 408 Sqn members are elgible to apply for the scholarship. Additional eligibility criteria and application package are available here. Deadline for this year’s Scholarship will be 1 June 2024; keep an eye out for further announcements.
